WEEK 6 - Lateral Thinking

Lateral thinking was an interesting topic as we needed to think out of the box. several questions were asked in class and they were all familiar ones that i had been exposed to before, probably in primary school, but didn't really pay much attention to then. However, now as i am striving to establish myself in the creative industry, i feel that it is important to remember to think out of the box or unconventional ways.

One of the problems was connecting nine dots with four lines. and there are apparently a lot of different ways to do it, besides the solution discussed in class as seen above. Also, I had seen this problem featured on a korean drama, Sankyukwan Scandal, before where the student rebuffed the teacher and instead of 4 used three lines to connect the dots instead - going the extra mile,

An activity we needed to do for this class was thinking of reasons to the question "why would a bee fly through the window to a painting at the opposite end of the room when there is a vase of fresh rose in front of the window." Below are my ideas, 10 conventional and 10 unconventional.
